*E-Services Conference and Exhibition Participation – Manila

E-Services Philippines is Asia’s premier ITES (IT-Enabled Services) conference and exhibition that will showcase the Philippines ITES providers. This annual meeting provides organizations contemplating an outsourcing relationship, investors and ancillary industries the opportunity to meet, network and build partnership with the Philippines’s premier ITES providers in one venue.

To hype up Cagayan de Oro’s potentials as an IT Goldmine specifically for BPO’s, the city’s participation to this conference is a recommended strategy. Led by the LGU, the delegation is supported by all ICT stakeholders located in the area, like the ISP’s, call center companies, academe and government agencies.

The objective is to present Cagayan de Oro’s BPO potentials and attract these outsourcing companies to locate in the city. This will open up employment opportunities to the human resource of the area as well as in the neighboring provinces in the region.
Cagayan de Oro first started joining the event in 2006 with the desire to be identified as one of the IT hubs in the country and as viable alternative location for BPOs.

*Search for the Best Oil Painting on Landscape, People’s Life or Scenery of Cagayan de Oro

The primary objective of the competition is to present a glimpse of colorful Cagayan de Oro to our sister city Harbin through the oil painting which will be displayed at the Exhibition Hall of Harbin. With this, their citizens can have a view of Cagayan de Oro through a painter’s artistry and thus establish mutual understanding, cooperation, goodwill and better friendship between the two cities. The competition will be a product of the collective talents of the local artists of Cagayan de Oro. The painting will be an opportunity for the city to recognize and promote the skills of its very own artists and use their artwork as a vehicle to gain international exposure.

*Artwork Exhibition at Harbin’s International Sister Cities Exhibition Hall in Harbin, China

The City of Cagayan de Oro has forged a sister city agreement with the City of Harbin in the Heilong Jiang Province in Northern China. The Harbin Municipal Government plans to build an Exhibition Hall for Harbin’s International Sister Cities, whose total built space is 900 square meters. The Exhibition’s main objective is to showcase to Harbin citizens all their sister cities and foster stronger business and trade cooperation between Harbin and her International Sister Cities.
